Be clear. THEY give us the roles that make THEM comfortable.

Please realize.

I don’t know about The Butler or The Slave, but the movie (and the book) called The Help was historically fictional. I’ve read it and seen the movie, and I can tell you this: it was written to emphasize black housekeepers and their struggles in the Deep South during the 1960s and the Civil Rights movement. 2 protagonists (there are 3 in total) were African-American women who AS CHARACTERS worked as “help” in white women’s homes while writing a book with other black women about their experiences. Because of this, I don’t believe that this is “Hollywood racism” that those 2 characters are shown to be household servants. It is because of the book’s story itself and the historical events it was based off of. I understand that Hollywood racism exists in America, and it does in other movies, but I don’t think that’s the case for The Help. (Which is one of my favorite books and movies by the way)This is just to clarify for those who have not read/watched this book/movie. And these are only my opinions. It’s up to you about what you think.
